In the event of an accident or injury, an incident report will be completed, signed by the parent or guardian, and a copy provided to the family. A log of all incidents is maintained on file.
If a child becomes ill during the day, parents will be contacted immediately. Children with a fever of 100°F or higher, vomiting, diarrhea, or a contagious illness must be picked up promptly and may not return until they have been symptom-free for 24 hours without medication.
If a child has been exposed to a communicable disease, all families in the program will be notified (without identifying the affected child) so they can monitor their own children.
